Mewsbrook Park is small but sweet, with a large lake taking up the majority of the area, it has some lovely art deco shelters, painted with consideration to the design, a nice tearoom, and a great playground for the children, tricky parking sometimes.
Lovely little cafe in nice surroundings. Parking is limited to marked area on approach road. Boating lake in spring/summer. Wide variety of menu choices for its size. Indoor and outdoor seating. Little train ride at opposite side of park which is great for kids (big kids like me too).
Always nice to return to this well remembered park. Have been visiting this site for some 50 years on and off. Can't recommend it too highly
A small, independent cafe offering a range of drinks and meals. Dog friendly. David Chase, the proprietor, takes an active interest in the management of the lake and park.
