I ordered online to collect in store,it arrived earlier than expected and was notified by the store straight away,when I arrived the young guy collected my items straight away and also double check everything was there before I left the store (big order) all my questions were answered and then he also helped me load the items into my car,excellent service!
I went to Halfords today as I needed to speak to two different departments. The level of service I got from Josh in the cycle repairs dept and Dominique in car audio was extremely impressive. They were both very helpful, polite and professional. I believe its worth noting that the store was quite busy as it was a Saturday and it would have been very easy for them to have given me a lesser level of customer service. Thank you.
Phoned up regarding a new number plate for my brothers car (as a present as he wanted a square front plate), I told them on the phone that I was the brother of the owner/registered keeper and that I have the V62 form, V5C/2 and my driving licence. I was told that is fine.I arrived, and spoke to a guy who abruptly said they can't do it because I was not the registered keeper. He then radio'd another colleague and managed to confuse the V62 form for the V5C (they are very different I assure you) and continued saying no, so I requested the manager as I wasn't happy with his attitude or the fact I had phoned and been told it would be fine.A friendly guy called Callum came over and was very helpful, saying they will try and sort it out to which the first guy kept interrupting and saying we can't. I got fed up eventually and told him that I'm no longer dealing with him so it's not down to him anymore. Eventually the manager came over, took one look at the V62, V5C/2 and my driving licence, asked if we lived at the same address (which we do!) and said it's fine. 10 minutes later, I walked out with a new number plate, which seemed to displease the first guy.I suggest staff training. I am aware that the DVLA impose this guidelines, not Halfords. But there is no need to be rude, and apply a bit of common sense. My driving licence shows the same surname and address as the forms I showed, and the fact I proved with pictures that I was working on the car at that point should have been fine, but no, I got accused of "trying to clone a number plate like everyone else".1 out of 5 stars for the attitude of the first guy, 5 out of 5 for Callum and the manager who applied common sense.
Always extremely helpful, had a new bike chain fitted and done within 10 minutes. Highly recommend the store, staff are really helpful and friendly highly recommend this store.
